All Saints’, Middleton Stoney

Middleton Stoney is a small village that boasts The Jersey Arms and a renowned Italian restaurant, Rigoletto’s. There is a village hall well run by a local committee where social events are staged from time to time. The inhabitants range from young professionals to the retired. Although there is no school, there are 42 children in the village.

Dominating the surroundings is the private Jersey estate in which lies the church, All Saints’, a picturesque Norman structure located 400 yards from the village’s main crossroads. The PCC looks after the fabric and graveyard and receives annual grants from the family of the Earls of Jersey. There is a small but committed congregation with 26 on the electoral roll. The ring of 6 bells is regularly rung for services. There is an informal service at 11 am on the first Sunday of each month and a more traditional Holy Communion at 9.15 am on the third.  All are welcome.
